<image:title>Upcoming Retreats - Point Pelee Spring Migration Birding Retreat</image:title>
<image:caption>A 3-day guided retreat for budding birders who want to witness one of North America's most spectacular spring migrations up close, with an expert who knows exactly where to be and when — and makes the whole thing genuinely fun. For birders in their first couple of years who are ready to crack the next level — warblers, calls, migrants — without spending years grinding it out alone. So you can go from... Hearing birds everywhere and not knowing what any of them are... to confidently identifying warblers, shorebirds, and flycatchers by sight and by sound. Showing up to the same patch and finding the same species every time... to seeing 80–100+ species in a single weekend, including birds most people spend years chasing. Figuring it out alone with Merlin and a field guide... to birding shoulder to shoulder with someone who has spent over a decade learning this exact place. Watching migration pass you by year after year... to going home with an eBird checklist, real photos, and the skills to bird Point Pelee on your own next time.</image:caption>

<image:title>Upcoming Retreats - Point Pelee Spring Migration Birding Retreat - Make it stand out</image:title>
<image:caption>Migration comes once a year. Most birders spend it overwhelmed. Every May, Point Pelee fills with warblers that have crossed Lake Erie overnight — species that are genuinely hard to find anywhere else on the continent at any other time of year. The window is short and the birds are everywhere, which sounds incredible until you're standing in the middle of it not knowing where to look, what you're hearing, or why everyone else seems to be pointing at something you're not seeing. You hear a bird calling from the shrubs and pull up Merlin, but by the time you've got a match the bird is gone and you're not sure if it was right anyway. You've been birding for a year or two and you know the basics, but warblers still blur together and every flycatcher looks exactly the same as the last one. You know Point Pelee is supposed to be special, but the park is big and you don't know which spots are producing on any given morning, so you end up wandering. You can't commit to a week-long tour, but you also can't bring yourself to just skip migration again this year — a short window doesn't feel worth it without the right help. You've thought about hiring a guide but you don't know who to trust, whether it'll feel like a lecture, or whether you'll be holding a fast group back. What you actually want from a spring migration trip To see the birds you've been reading about — Prothonotary, Hooded, Blackburnian — with your own eyes, not just on someone else's eBird list. To come home knowing how to find these species again, not just lucky to have seen them once with a guide. To spend a weekend in nature without having to plan anything — someone else handles where to go, when to show up, and what to do if the weather shifts. To meet other birders at the same stage as you, people who get it, and feel like you belong in this hobby. To walk away with a life list that actually reflects what you're capable of seeing when you know where to look.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Prince Edward County Wine & Owls October 22–25 | 4 Days / 3 Nights Where migration meets indulgence. This fall, trade the city for Canada’s most charming wine country—where morning birding, afternoon vineyards, and nighttime owls come together in one unforgettable experience. Day 1: Welcome to Wine Country Arrive in Picton, Ontario by late afternoon. We’ll settle into our boutique hotel and gather for a welcome meal to toast the long weekend ahead. Day 2: Bird, Sip & See the Owls We begin with a crisp fall morning at Prince Edward Point Bird Observatory, where late-season migrants move through one of Canada’s top birding hotspots. After lunch, we head to one of the area’s best wineries for a relaxed afternoon tasting. That evening, we’ll experience the magic of live owl banding—Northern Saw-whet Owls up close, and the potential for Long-eared or Barred Owls under the stars. Day 3: From Field to Glass, Take Two Another morning of fall birding. Wake up time will be dependent on how late the owl banding took us. Hawk migration is moving through the County at this time dozens to hundreds of Broad Winged Hawks, Bald Eagles and Golden Eagles are moving overhead. Flooded fields often draw in ducks, geese, and the occasional late-season rarity. The afternoon will be relaxed again at a different winery. The evening is reserved for Owl banding in case the previous night was curtailed due to weather. Day 4: Departure Day Enjoy a slow morning in town or a short farewell walk before departing Prince Edward County. Trip Highlights: Late fall migrants along Lake Ontario Evening owl banding demonstrations Tastings at top wineries Charming accommodations in the heart of wine country Ideal for bird lovers who appreciate a good glass of wine and cozy vibes Includes All Accommodations, All Meals, Non-Alcoholic Beverages, Wine Tastings, Transportation once to Picton, Entrance Fees into all Parks & Banding Demonstrations.

<image:title>Upcoming Retreats - Texas Spring Migration Birding Retreat - Make it stand out</image:title>
<image:caption>Detailed Itinerary Thursday, April 23, 2026 – Arrival in San Antonio Arrive to the San Antonio Airport (SAT) by late afternoon and we will bring you to our San Antonio Hotel. In the evening, we gather for a relaxed welcome dinner hosted by Rick, offering a chance to meet your fellow travelers, review the journey ahead, and set expectations for the exceptional birding to come. Depending on your arrival there will be time to walk around the San Antonio Riverwalk and visit the nearby Alamo. Overnight: San Antonio Hotel Friday, April 24 – San Antonio to the Edwards Plateau + Bat Flight We depart early this morning, heading west toward the Texas Hill Country and the Edwards Plateau. Birding stops along the way take advantage of peak morning activity as we transition from urban edges to open ranchlands, rivers, and limestone hills. By afternoon, we arrive in the Uvalde/Concan area and spend the remainder of the day birding prime Hill Country habitat. As dusk approaches, we experience one of central Texas’s most memorable natural events: a bat cave emergence, where vast numbers of Mexican Free-tailed Bats spiral into the evening sky. Overnight: Uvalde Saturday, April 25 – Edwards Plateau Specialties Today is dedicated to the western edge of the Edwards Plateau, one of Texas’s richest birding regions where eastern and western species overlap. Our focus is on locating regional specialties, including the Black-capped Vireo & Painted Bunting while enjoying a diverse supporting cast of sparrows, orioles, wrens, and woodland songbirds. The day is unhurried and flexible, allowing us to follow bird activity and maximize opportunities in this exceptionally productive landscape. Overnight: Uvalde Sunday, April 26 – Endemics & Departure We spend our final morning in mature oak-juniper woodland and select parks searching for one of North America’s most celebrated endemics, the Golden-cheeked Warbler, found nowhere else in the world. Additional spring migrants and Hill Country residents round out our species list before we depart late morning or early afternoon back to San Antonio. You can book a flight departing from 5pm onwards. Includes All Accommodations, All Meals, Non-Alcoholic Beverages, Park Entrance Fees and all transportation once to San Antonio. Does Not Include: Flights to/from San Antonio, Travel Insurance, Alcoholic beverages, Personal Items.</image:caption>
